Eleven persons from eight districts who took part in the Chernobyl cleanup or are rehabilitated victims of political repression will collect lump sums for building, reconstructing or purchasing homes. The Cabinet decided to allocate 482,000 lei from the state budget for the purpose, IPN reports.
The money is provided to beneficiaries who didn’t raise preferential loans from financial institutions and weren’t provided with dwellings by October 22, 2004.
A sum of 8.5 million lei was earmarked in the 2018 state budget for paying such allowances.
