On the right bank of the Dniester River, the electricity consumption for Wednesday, September 15, is expected to remain similar to that of January 14. Energocom announced it has reserved commercial capacity at the border with Romania to cover consumption needs through imports, IPN reports.

In addition to electricity generated by local thermal power plants and renewable energy installations, the remaining demand will be met through imported energy based on bilateral contracts or from the energy market.

“However, we urge consumers to save electricity during peak hours to reduce their bills and ensure the reliability of the power system,” stated a press release from the company.

Meanwhile, electricity for the left bank continues to be supplied by MGRES, which operates on coal. Given the acute energy deficit, rolling blackouts are being implemented to prevent overloading the grid.
