The dignitaries who pretend to a seat of a deputy do not rush to make public their income declarations for 2008 within the Property in Sight campaign, started by the Independent Press Association (IPA) and the Anti-Corruption Alliance, Info-Prim Neo reports. After launching the drive, only five electoral candidates have accepted to publish the declaration on incomes and property for 2008 on the IPA's web page – www.api.md. Last week, MP Vitalia Pavlicenco sent the scanned copy of her declaration for the last year to obiectiv@api.md. According to the declaration, in 2008 the deputy jointly with her family got an income of 250,039.22 lei at their basic job. Vitalia Pavlicenco also stated that last year she received a Ford Mondeo worth 8,730 euros, as a donation from Germany. The IPA specifies that speaker Marian Lupu, Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, Floresti mayor Iurie Tap, MP Veaceslav Untila, minister of informational development Pavel Buceatchi and Carpineni mayor Iurie Untila previously participated in the Property in Sight. Only the last two dignitaries are not present on the lists of political parties registered by the Central Electoral Commission, the IPA notes. Deputies, ministers, local councilors, civil servants, other dignitaries who consider that they do not have what to hide and who support the principle of transparency of their incomes are still encouraged to make public their income and property statements on the IPA's web page.
