The Electoral Bloc “European People’s Platform of Moldova - Iurie Leanca” (PPEM) will support the Liberal Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca in the second round of local elections, Oazu Nantoi, who ran for the same post on behalf of the Bloc in the first round of the mayoral elections, said in a press briefing, quoted by IPN.
Oazu Nantoi said that the team of the PPEM elected to the Chisinau Municipal Council will promote all the commitments made in the election campaign, but these can be fulfilled only if a pro-European coalition is formed in the Council. The Bloc’s councilors already presented their priorities to the Liberal team of councilors, expressing their readiness to work together for the benefit of the municipality.
“For Chisinau municipality to be developed and Moldova’s European course to be continued, we call on you to take part in elections and to vote for Dorin Chirtoaca,” said Nantoi, urging the voters to support the PPEM’s candidates in four suburban settlements – Ghidighici, Gratiesti, Durlesti and Tohatin.
In the second round of the mayoral elections in Chisinau on June 28, the voters will choose between Dorin Chirtoaca, of the Liberal Party, and Zinaida Grecheanyi, of the Party of Socialists.
