The elections to the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia will take place on May 16 this year. A decision to this effect was adopted by the deputies from Comrat on February 12, IPN reports.
On January 20, 2021, it was four years of the calling of the first meeting of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia, after the elections of November 2016. Initially, the deputies set the elections to the People’s Assembly for April 4 this year, but later annulled this decision.
Also today, the People’s Assembly confirmed the last member of the Central Election Commission of Comrat, which is now complete
