The Central Election Commission (CEC) decided to organize new elections in Topala village of Cimislia district on June 28. Such a decision was taken based on a decision by the Cimislia Court, which nullified the results of the elections held in the village on June 14, IPN reports.
On June 14, a number of candidates for councilor devastating the polling place in the village, destroying computers, furniture and ballots. The voting process was interrupted. The candidates protested thus against the actions of an opponent, who mobilized a group of young people to bring people to vote in his favor at the polling place in an organized way.
The CEC also decided to create a special stamp “Rerun elections” that will be put on the loose leaf of the voter’s identity card.
