The presidential elections can be considered valid now that about one third of the persons eligible to vote cast their ballots. At 14:17pm, voter turnout was 33.5%. The minimum threshold was thus passed, IPN reports.
Over 960,000 people voted in the elections by this hour. More than 52% of those who voted were women. The voters aged between 56 and 70 were the most active ones.
Polling places are open until 9pm.
