Election of national bank governor postponed

Speaker Mihai Ghimpu proposed excluding the election of the governor of the National Bank of Moldova from the agenda. The proposal was accepted, Info-Prim Neo reports. The candidate for the given post was fielded by the Head of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu. This is the Speaker's nephew Corneliu Ghimpu. “I proposed this candidate owing to his professional abilities. He is a honest and correct young man,” Mihai Ghimpu said, referring to Corneliu Ghimpu. Reportedly, the issue was excluded from the agenda after the parliamentarians expressed their disagreement with the fact that the candidate is a close relative of the Speaker.
