A woman aged 74 was hit by a trolleybus running on route No. 9 in the afternoon of March 2. It happened on Vasile Alecsandri St in Chisinau, near the Movie Theater “Gaudeamus”.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir has told IPN that the woman was jaywalking. The driver is investigated outside prison.
Petru Cravet, who is responsible for relations with the media at the National Emergency Medicine Center, said the elderly woman suffered a concussion and a suspected skull fracture and was transported to the hospital.
An investigation is under way.
