Elderly woman from Rascani burns in her house

The corpse of an 81-year-old woman from Mihaileni village, Rascani district, was found carbonized after a fire in her house last night, Info-Prim Neo reports. After containing the fire the fire fighters found the body in a room, says Tatiana Corceac, a press officer with the Civil Protection Service, The fire is thought to have flared up from the oven, as the damages are assessed at 18,000 lei. Other two fires are reported to have taken place in Vinogradovca village from Taraclia district and in Hiliuti village, Rascani district. A short circuit caused the first one. The second happened because of misusing fire sources. On March 5, the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service recorded 7 fires. 68 Moldovans have died in 394 fires since the beginning of the year.
