Elderly dies hit by train

An old man died after getting seriously injured by the Moscow-Chisinau train. Anatol Proca, doctor coordinator at the Chisinau Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man aged 76 was hit by the Moscow-Chisinau train at Visterniceni station in Chisinau on March 10. The train’s crew transported the victim to the medical facility at the Central Station. When the ambulance arrived, the man was already dead. An Opel and a 102 route Mercedes minibus crashed into each other at the intersection of Mihai Kogalniceanu and Mihai Eminescu streets. As a result of the collision, the 30-year-old female passenger of the car suffered brain concussion. A minor girl of 17 and a 25-year-old man tried to kill themselves taking pills. Both were hospitalized for desintoxication. During the last day and night, the Chisinau Emergency Service dealt with 790 appeals, including 50 cases of acute viral infections, 65 cases of injury, 5 brain strokes, and 65 cases of mumps.
