Eighteenth pandemic flu case confirmed in Moldova

The Ministry of Health confirmed the 18th case of pandemic flu in Moldova. The A (H1N1) flu virus was detected in a 51-year-old man, who returned from Russia on October 24. Yesterday, he asked for medical assistance, Info-Prim Neo reports. The man was taken to the Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorba" with symptoms of the A(H1N1) influenza virus. Laboratory tests confirmed the presence of the virus. As many as 128 suspect cases of pandemic flu have been reported in Moldova since May. Eighteen cases have been confirmed. The 16th patient aged 50 died in the hospital.
