Eight persons die as result of bomb blast in Tiraspol

Eight persons died as a result of an explosion produced on Thursday, July 6 in a minibus in Tiraspol. According to the press agency RIA Novosti, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, the blast happened at 7.00, at the crossing of Ceapaev and Odeskaia streets, in minibus of 21st route. Eight passengers died on the spot, and several persons were traumatized. According to the deputy head of the internal affairs bodies from Tirapol, Oleg Beleakov, “The blast was so powerful that it blew off the bus's roof 100 meters away and tore off clothes of the victims”. As a result of the same explosion, 6 persons from a trolleybus stationing at the semaphore were injured. The quoted press agency says that in the place were the explosion happened sappers and prosecutors are working; they will be assisted by specialists from Odessa and Chisinau. Solicited by Info-Prim Neo, sources from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and General Prosecutor Office of the Republic of Moldova could not offer any details referring to this case.
