The 229 new infections with COVID-19 confirmed in Moldova on June 5 take the total number of infections to 9,248. As many as 3,684 infections are active cases, IPN reports.
More than 1,500 tests were done today. Nearly 1,300 people were tested for the first time.
A number of 274 persons are in the hospital in a serious state and 23 of them were put on a ventilator.
The death toll from the novel coronavirus rose to 323 after eight more persons lost the battle with the disease on June 5.
