The eight applicants who on September 29 submitted the signatures for being registered as runners in the October 30 presidential elections to the Central Election Commission were preventively allotted a number of order following a draw held in the morning of September 30, IPN reports.
Independent candidates Vitalia Pavlichenko, Silvia Radu and Maia Laguta will be under No. 9, 10 and 11 respectively. Ana Gutu, who was fielded by the Party “The Right”, will take the 12th position. She is followed by independents Roman Mihaes (13), Ion Dron (14), and Vasile Tarlev (15). Valeriu Gilerksi ends the list.
Under the legal provisions, within seven days the CEC must examine the set of presented documents, verify the subscription lists and decide whether to register or not the given aspirants.
The first eight positions are occupied by Marian Lupu (PDM), Mihai Ghimpu (PL), Iurie Leanca (PPEM), Andrei Nastase (PPPDA), Inna Popenko (Ravnopravie), Dumitru Chubashenko (PPPN), Maia Sandu (PAS), and Igor Dodon (PSRM).
