Effort will be made from inside and outside to make the Liberal Party (PL) past history, ex-Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev said in the program “Good Evening” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
“I knew that something was going on in this party. Effort has been made to make this party past history. I speak about other forces, not Dodon,” said Vasile Tarlev, adding he refereed to the PL’s political opponents from inside and outside the country, but didn’t give names.
As to the formation of a new Government, Vasile Tarlev said a Prime Minister can much easier implement the government program if he is backed by a coalition government, not by a party or dictatorship. He stressed that he spoke from his own experience, without saying if things were good or bad when he held the post of Premier under the Communists.
Vasile Tarlev said the negotiations for creating a new Government must be more transparent. “The process is very complicated, but there are reasons to hold the talks behind closed doors. Society is more informed and these negotiations arouse questions,” he stated.
Vasile Tarlev also said that the European course was seriously compromised by the political crisis. “The integration into the EU becomes a nice dream. This is not a simple process. Many Europeans are now skeptical and distrustful. Effort should be made in this respect and the words are not enough,” he said.
According to the former Premier, the crisis can be overcome by voting in Vlad Filat or another person as Premier or by holding early elections. “But I think that Vlad Filat will be voted in,” he said.
