Storm Ashley, which will reach our country on the weekend, will not pose a major danger and the colder weather and high winds are the only major changes that will be felt, said the State Weather Service, quoted by IPN.
In Moldova, a mass of very cold air will make its presence felt for a few days, starting this weekend. The air temperature will drop by at least 10 degrees, but the values will be close to the norm characteristic of this time of year. Therefore, for the Republic of Moldova the effects of Storm Ashley will be minimal as such conditions do not pose great risks to the entire region, but rather will have a local impact in the southern and northern areas of the European continent, where heavy rainfall could fall,.
“It is noteworthy that this cyclone is vast and divided into two cores: one located on the northern side and the other one located on the southern side of the continent. This means that its effects will be felt differently in different areas,” said weather forecasters.
According to specialists, the phenomena will be less severe than in the case of Storm Boris. Furthermore, the name Storm Ashley has not been officially confirmed.
