Education Ministry urges youth organizations to apply for small grants

The Ministry of Education and Youth calls on the youth organizations to take part in the small grants contest in order to ensure the young people’s access to impartial, informal education services, free time and multilateral development opportunities. The budget of the project must not exceed 30,000 lei. The deadline for applications is July 8, Info-Prim Neo reports According to the Ministry, the aims of the contest are to promote young people’s new development ideas, encourage the young persons to actively participate in the community and social life and develop the infrastructure and integrated services for youth. The contest is open to projects that center on the development and extension of social services for youth, facilitation of access to information by extending Internet services and other information means, organization of awareness-raising and promotional campaigns according to socioeconomic areas, professional orientation, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, prevention of illegal migration, volunteering promotion, etc. The beneficiaries will prepare draft and final financial and progress reports on the implementation of the project at the request of the Education Ministry. The projects must be supported by the community logistically or financially. They will be implemented during August-November 2009.
