The Ministry of Education intends to open a parents school. This is provided in the parental education strategy. Deputy Minister of Education Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei has told IPN that there will be worked out programs that the teachers in kindergartens will be able to carry out together with the parents.
Such a school is needed as the parents must be sensitized to the importance of early education. Work should be done with the parents who have children with special educational needs so that they better understand how their children can be included in the education process. The parents whose children interact with mates with special needs should also be sensitized.
“There are a lot of things that we must do to promote the importance of education, the acceptance, tolerance and understanding of the needs and rights of the others,” said Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei.
The parents school is an international practice by which the parents obtain information and benefit from counseling.
