The Ministry of Education of Moldova underlines that it does not issue certificates that authenticate diplomas. “Given the high number of requests to validate the diplomas for those who want to study in Romania, we inform that all the documents required by the Romanian authorities are authenticated at the notary, not at the Ministry of Education,” the institution’s press service says, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The information about the necessity of Moldova’s Ministry of Education issuing certificates to authenticate diplomas is not true, it is said in the press release. The admission to Romanian education establishments began in Cahul on July 21. The applications can be submitted to the State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” until July 23. During July 24 – 29, the Romanian admission commission will work at the Romanian consulate general based at 2 Gr. Ureche St in Chisinau, from 3pm on workdays and from 9am on Saturday and Sunday. The admission program will continue at the State University “Alecu Russo” in Balti on July 30 and 31. The working program is 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 6pm. Romanian officials announced the admission period could be extended if the number of applications is high. The Government of Romanian announced it will provide 2,150 scholarships for Moldovan students, but this figure might be doubled.
