The attempts to cheat in the Baccalaureate exams will be penalized, while the test papers will be annulled. The warning was issued by the Ministry of Education, which reminds that 85 candidates were removed from the examination halls the previous session, IPN reports.
In a circular, the Ministry says the number of cases of cheating during the 2016 Baccalaureate session decreased compared with the session of 2015, when 103 candidates were banned from taking the exam after they were caught cheating. Of the 21,520 candidates admitted to the session of the previous year, 85 tried to cheat.
Among the dishonest candidates were also persons who declared that they were candidates in exams and signed the own responsibility statement in the name of other persons. The given acts were investigated in accordance with the Penal Code of the Republic of Moldova.
Eleven persons used social networking sites and SMEs to post the graduation exam papers. These were held accountable in accordance with the Contravention Code. The private individuals and legal entities were fined 1,500 to 120,000 lei.
