The Ministry of Education has modified its website. Minister Mihai Sleahtitski said the new website is much more interactive, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The website has new modules. The novelties can be appraised trough social networking sites. Owing to the comments, we will have reactions from the people to the announcements and implemented policies. Those who want can subscribe to our announcements and news free of charge,” the minister said in the official presentation of the updated website. Deputy Minister of Education Loretta Handrabura said that a new type of communication was needed. “I saw on forums rather good comments, with interesting ideas expressed mainly by anonymous persons. The people will probably have the courage to write their opinions about what the Ministry does on this website,” she stated. Loretta Handrabura also said that it was vital to update the old site that hasn’t been modified for seven years. It happened that not even the Ministry’s employees could find the information they needed in the website’s archive. The new site has a search system incorporated into the Google engine and an accessible archive with all the Ministry’s novelties. The contact data of all the institution’s divisions and employees can be found here. The address of the new website of the Ministry of Education is www.edu.md. The information is available in three languages – Romanian, Russia and English.
