The 2022-2023 year of study in primary, secondary and lyceum education starts on September 1, 2022 and ends on August 31, 2023. The first semester will last from September 1 until December 23, while the second semester – from January 9 until May 31. For the ninth and twelfth graders, the second semester will end on May 25, IPN reports.
The autumn vacation will last for five days, from October 26 until October 30. The inter-semester (winter) vacation will last for 16 days, from December 24 until January 8, while the spring vacation will start on March 8 and will end on March 12. The Easter vacation will last from 15 to 24 April.
For the first, eighth, tenth and eleventh graders, the summer vacation will last for 92 days, from June 1 until August 31.
The semester tests in lyceums will be taken at two sessions – in winter, on December 9-16, and in spring, on May 15 – 23, 2023.
The ninth graders will sit secondary school graduation exams during June 5-15, while the twelfth graders will take lyceum graduation exams during June 2 – 20. The national testing in primary education will take place during May 3-18.
