69% of the teaching staff of primary, secondary and lyceum education institutions of the country got both of the vaccines against COVID-19, while 72.5% got at least one dose of vaccine, the Ministry of Education has said, being quoted by IPN.
Other education system personnel got fully vaccinated in proportion of 59% or 65.2% of all the employees. In vocational schools, 60.4% of the teachers were administered both of the vaccine doses, while other personnel were 45.8% or 55% vaccinated. In higher education establishments, about 70% of the teachers got a vaccine, while other personnel were 41.5% or 51.7% vaccinated.
The rate of vaccination with at least one dose in primary, secondary and lyceum education institutions is 62.7% among other personnel or 68.8% among all the employees. In vocational schools, about 70% of the teachers and 50% or 60% of other employees were vaccinated. In universities, the teachers were 69.8% vaccinated, while other personnel were 49.6% or 58.8% vaccinated.
In the September 3 meeting of the Cabinet, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița said the rate of vaccination, at least with the first dose, among teachers increased to about 70%. According to the Premier, this shows that the Government’s calls were heard and understood by the teachers and they are hopeful that the figure will grow.
