Education Minister, Hungarian Ambassador discuss cooperation in university matters

Moldovan Education Minister Leonid Bujor met with Hungarian Ambassador to Moldova Gyorgy Varga to discuss priorities and cooperation in education matters. “Promotion of academic and professional mobility represents a desideratum of the Bologna Process, which Moldova joined in 2005”, said Leonid Bujor. The minister thanked his collocutor for the support offered by the Hungarian Embassy in the inter-university cooperation process.
Leonid Bujor referred to the agreements signed between universities from Hungary and Moldova's Agrarian University, the Technical University, the State University, ULIM, the Academy of Economics, etc.
Gyorgy Varga mentioned about the activity of the Common Visa Application Center hosted by the Hungarian Embassy in Chisinau. According to the ambassador, the Center issues visas for 13 EU countries, which will be soon joined by other three or four countries. Leonid Bujor expressed his gratitude for its activity, mentioning in particular the facilitation of visa issuance for the people who travel abroad for academic and professional purposes.
The Hungarian ambassador also expressed his interest in how debates on the draft Education Code were going on. The minister replied that he saluted the activism with which civil society engaged in discussions and that the recommendations made were being considered to enhance the Code.
