The teachers have always been a barometer of society used by everyone, being also the promoters of beneficial ideas and models to be followed. They have the difficult mission of protecting their own lives and the lives of their pupils. “The people follow us and expect us to adopt a mature approach,” Minister of Education Anatolie Topală said, addressing the teachers on the occasion of the start of the new school year, IPN reports.

“You are those who model and forge the liaison between the past and the future, who know best to form a generation of citizens and notable specialists through whose agency we can ensure better and more prosperous living, can build and strengthen a society with respect for the national and democratic values,” wrote the minister.

Anatolie Topală called on the parents to become involved in the education of children. He urged the parents to combine forces so as to create optimal conditions of study at home and at school, to cultivate a thirst for knowledge and to give a real chance for seeing the future plans accomplished.

The minister addressed the students, saying that studies are a serious and important preoccupation for their future, for what they will become and for what they will manage to achieve. “Studies require hard work, discipline, dedication and passion. They will model the future citizen, will shape and secure the own future and the future of this country and society, which put their hope in you. Learn to appreciate the years of study as they are the best ones! Rationally use any opportunity offered by the education process so as to accumulate the knowledge needed to assert yourselves in society and to meet the expectations of your parents and teachers,” said the minister.

He also said that combining forces for returning the education process to normality is the imperative of time, while the health of students and teachers is a priority.

The new school year began on September 1.
