Education institution employees obliged to report cases of child abuse

The employees of education institutions are obliged to report immediately suspect or confirmed cases of child abuse to the social services, tutelage authorities, public order bodies and the Labor Inspection. The Ministry of Education approved by an order the procedure concerning institutional organization and intervention by education institution employees in cases of abuse, Info-Prim Neo reports. The school principals must designate the coordinator of the activities aimed at preventing, identifying and reporting cases of abuse, report quarterly on the situation concerning cases of violence to district/municipal divisions of education, youth and sport and to the Ministry of Education. Based on an order issued by the Ministry, there were approved all the instruments needed to monitor the situation concerning cases of abuse and negligence of children.
