The French company EDENRED has announced the introduction of a modern digital solution for meal vouchers on Moldova. This consists of electronic meal vouchers (cards) and a digital platform. EDENRED obtained the license of operator for issuing electronic meal vouchers and can thus supplement the benefits provided by the meal cards, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the company’s representative office in Chisinau, the application that EDENRED implemented successfully in the Czech Republic and Finland enables the beneficiaries of meal vouchers to use this extra-salary bonus in all the retail outlets included in the network. EDENRED developed the application together with PayNet and comes to satisfy the demand of employees who are accustomed to this form of payment.
“The electronic meal vouchers are a big step forward in the modern programs of extra-salary benefits in the Republic of Moldova. The meal cards from EDENRED simplify the administrative procedures among t companies and provide increased flexibility for employees,” stated Dana Sântejudean, director general of EDENRED Romania and Moldova.
The meal vouchers launched by EDENRED can be also used in shops that do not have a banking terminal and represent an alternative to the paper meal vouchers. The meal cards can be used to make food purchases in hypermarkets, supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, etc.
Since its official launch half a year ago, EDENRED developed the largest local network, putting over 200,000 meal vouchers with the face value of about 7.5 million lei into circulation based on contracts with Moldovan enterprises. Over 7,000 Moldovan employees use the meal vouchers issued by EDENRED. These can be used in over 1,150 retail outlets.
