Enhancing Moldova’s competitiveness at foreign level is a priority of the Ministry of Economy for the first 100 days since the investiture of the Leanca Government. The priorities were presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar in a news conference. Creating thousands of workplaces for the Moldovans to return home is another announced priority.
Valeriu Lazar said that they aim to approve the strategic planning framework that contains 15 policy documents, including the energy strategy until 2030, the national consumer protection strategy, the roadmap for competitiveness enhancement, and the innovational strategy.
The Ministry is to improve the legal framework concerning the small and medium-sized companies and the state control over entrepreneurial activity and to simplify the process of liquidating businesses.
Valeriu Lazar said steps will be taken further to promote the policy aimed at developing the country’s industrial potential by opening nine industrial parks. There will be set up the second industrial park with majority state capital in Balti.
There will be developed at least 100 businesses by the Pare 1+1 Program, which will contribute to creating workplaces. There will be opened two business incubators in the districts of Dubasari and Sangerei.
The reorganization of the centralized heating system in the municipality of Chisinau is another priority for the first 100 days. Also, the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline will start to be built.
