Gas bills will depend on the weather outside, the type of home, the type of heating system, the preferences of the user, and not least on the quality of the natural gas, economist Veaceslav Ioniță explains. His calculations show that, after the gas rate rose to almost 30 lei, the bill will for a 70 square meter apartment will be around 4,200 lei.
According to the expert, consumption varies from 1.5 to 2.5 cubic meters of gas per square meter of home per month. The monthly average is about 2 cubic meters of gas for each square meter.
“With the new rate, the math is simple. 60 lei/month for each square meter of housing. For an apartment of 70 square meters you will have to pay about 4,200 lei per month. Obviously, in the case of tariff capping by the Government, the bill can be much lower", says Veaceslav Ioniță.
A cubic meter of natural gas will cost almost 30 lei from October 1. The National Energy Regulatory Agency approved a rate of 27.103 lei/1000 m3, to which 8% VAT is added. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița says that the natural gas rates are exorbitant, but the purchase costs are high. According to her, from October 1, the calculation formula that would offer an advantageous price is changing.
