Economic agents which renewed Chisinau’s districts will sue City Hall

Seven economic agents from Chisinau intend to sue the City Hall. They are displeased with the fact that they performed repair works in the districts of Chisinau but did not receive money for the work rendered. The head of the Communal Department (DGLCA), Mihai Solcan days that the economic agents concluded with the City Hall contracts in this respect and performed a significant volume of works, but the City Hall did not honor its commitments. The debts of the local authorities could amount to MDL 20 mln, and by the end of the year MDL 9 mln more could be added to this sum. The head of DGLCA mentioned that he asked the General Finance Department to pay the debts, but until now the issue was not solved. According to Mihai Solcan, economic agents warned the authorities that in case the debts will not be paid they will sue the City Hall. This warning might come true this week, Solcan said, and the reputation and credibility of the local authorities will be damaged.
