Ecaterina Balan, one of the first TV newscasters in Moldova, departed this life. She came to work at the first television channel in Chisinau in 1960, two years after its opening, and had served there for 38 years.
For her impressive performance, Ecaterina Balan was awarded the title of ‘Artist Emerita of Moldova’.
