The judiciary eCase information subsystem will be tested at the Ciocana Court during half a year. The pilot project will enable the participants to coordinate the agenda of hearings in an electronic format, to form and manage the online file by enabling the parties to have access to this and to present evidence and distribute materials. Also, the parties in a case will be summoned electronically.

Contacted by IPN, head of the Protocol and Mass Media Service of the Ministry of Justice Rodion Gushtiuk said the electronic system during the six months will be improved both for the judiciary and the people. Possible errors will be put right in the period.

When the pilot project is completed, the Ministry will recommend the Superior Council of Magistracy to increase the number of judges at the courts where the new electronic system will be implemented.

The implementation of the eCase system is an opportunity for the parties and is not mandatory in character. Thus, the parties will be able to ask for information about the case, summons and others on paper as well.
