EBRD to provide €100m to Moldova for investment projects

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) this year will allocate over €100 million for the investment projects implemented in Moldova. The announcement was made in a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar and a delegation of the Bank headed by Jonathan Charles, EBRD Communications Director, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
“The EBRD is ready to support Moldova’s economic policy and will maintain the credit portfolio at the same level as in 2010,” said Jonathan Charles.
Five investment projects worth €45 million have been launched in the first half of this year.
Moldova became a member of the EBRD on May 5, 1992. In the period, Moldova has signed 82 projects to the value of over €584 million with the Bank for financing different sectors of the national economy.
