The European Business Association in Moldova (EBA) and the Chamber of Trade and Industry have signed a cooperation agreement, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Chamber’s chairman Gheorghe Cucu said that it is normal for the two organizations that bring together the main business players of Moldova to cooperate, given that the talks on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Moldova and the EU will open soon. ”We will soon devise a cooperation plan. Only two areas in which we will cooperate are clear – adjustment of the Moldovan goods to the European quality and inoffensiveness standards and attraction of investments to our companies. This will make our products competitive on the foreign market as well as the home market,” said Gheorghe Cucu. EBA chairwoman Silvia Radu said the parties will cooperate in implementing good business management practices. Information will be permanently exchanged about the attraction of investments to Moldova and the promotion of Moldovan products abroad. ”We hope we will formulate joint proposals for improving the legislation concerning entrepreneurial activity,” said Silvia Radu. The parties also agreed to merge their databases and to identify business partners for Moldovan companies abroad. The European Business Association in Moldova was founded in 2011 under the aegis of the EU Ambassador to Moldova.
