The e-Governance Center aims to more aggressively promote electronic services in rural areas. The campaigns will be carried out in 2015-2016. Now the institution centers more on the central public administration.
Interviewed by IPN, Michelle Iliev, the Center’s consultant for relations with the public, said the institution established a partnership with Novateca, agreeing that each computer from the national libraries will have by a file with guides how to access and use electronic services.
“Ten persons were already trained. They will later train librarians how to use these services. We started with the libraries because they are an important point of information in rural areas. We now focus on the central public administration, ministries and agencies and go also to schools and universities. Next week, we will hold a training session to inform employees of mayor’s offices how to use social networking sites,” said the consultant.
Michelle Iliev added that the project to digitize civil status documents will be extended this week. About 4 million documents have been digitized so far. Over the next two years, there will be digitized another 9 million civil status documents plus a series of other documents that can be ordered on the website servicii.gov.md.
A number of 93 e-services are now available on servicii.gov.md.
