The Dutch Employer Cooperation Program – DECP – will provide assistance to the Moldovan Employers Confederation (MEC) in strengthening their positions and enhancing contribution to bettering the Moldovan business climate. Those two organizations signed such an arrangement on Wednesday, June 18, Info-Prim Neo reports. Leonid Cerescu, the chairman of the MEC, has said the necessary expertise will be provided in implementing the new regulations as to labor safety and health, decentralizing wage policy, carrying out a research concerning the social dialog in Moldovan companies. The Dutch will provide assistance in certifying construction companies according to European standards, in creating a so called “social house for construction” and in training employees. As for the agricultural sector, the assistance will be channeled to develop the so-called “business-incubators” and the agri-industrial entrepreneurship, to launch an investment fund to buy new equipment for companies. “Moldova's got chances to enter the group of countries offering the best conditions to develop businesses and to attract investment. We want to help you attain this goal,” said Carel Bout, the DECP chief. Valeriu Bulgari , the president of agriculture and processing industry employers, has positively appreciated the accord, especially mentioning the assistance the Dutch colleagues are going to offer to agriculture and construction employers. The Dutch program joins 5 regional associations, 170 sector associations and over 400 companies from the Netherlands. It works on the basis of public-private partnership with the Dutch Foreign Ministry. One of its main missions is to assist employers in medium-term countries. The Moldovan Confederation joins 15 sector employers organizations. The coming 2 days, the DECP and the MEC will hold a seminar on labor safety and health.
