Dumitru Matcovschi always knew how to gain confidence and to provide support. He was a rare hearty man who loved culture and loved to be surrounded by people, artistic conductor of the academic ensemble of folk dances “Joc” Vladimir Curbet has told IPN.
“I knew him very well. He was a man with a great heart. He deeply cared about this piece of land. You could always discuss and share the sorrows with him. God rest his soul,” said Vladimir Curbet.
He added that the late poet attended frequently the ensemble’s concerts. “He came often to our concerts. He always admired and praised us,” stated Vladimir Curbet.
