The parties that will cause early legislative elections will not have chances of entering the next Parliament, the president of honor of the Democratic Party (PDM) Dumitru Diacov stated in the talk show “Fourth power” on N4 channel. According to him, the PDM does not plead for early parliamentary elections, IPN reports.
The politician said no political party or electoral bloc will obtain a majority in the next legislative body. For this reason, the pro-European parties after the elections will have to sit at the negotiating table so as to continue on the path of European integration The Democratic Party does not intend to form a coalition with the Party of Socialists after the elections because this party pleads for another direction, the Eurasian one.
Dumitru Diacov noted the PDM will most probably compete openly with candidates in single-member constituencies as it would be unserious if candidates with views that correspond to those of the Democratic Party run independently. “I do not really see candidates who can run as independents. As far as I know, the candidates we identified will run on behalf of the PDM,” stated the MP, adding most of the candidates will be attached to a particular party and there will not be many independents in the upcoming elections.
