The Republic of Moldova must have equally good relations with Romania and with Russia, the president of honor of the Democratic Party (PDM) Dumitru Dicacov said in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

“We should not give priority to Romania or Russia. We must have good relations with both of the states. Moldova’s statehood depends on the relations with Romania and the Russian Federation. A good relationship with Moscow generates preconditions for a good relationship with Romania,” stated the Democratic heavyweight.

Dumitru Diacov admitted that Russia’s attitude to the relationship with Moldova is more cautious than that of Romania. “It is evident that Romania wants to see in the Republic of Moldova a European country with a stable situation. Regretfully, the official Moscow ignores a number of things. We always had a correct behavior towards the Russian Federation. We must find solutions to establish a dialogue with the Kremlin,” said the president of honor of the PDM.
