The president of honor of the Democratic Party Dumitru Diacov said he sees no problem if the PDM after the parliamentary elections will sit at the negotiating table with any party that will gain the people’s vote. In the program “Truth live”, the politician said there is no doubt that the PDM will form part of the parliamentary majority, IPN reports.
Dumitru Diacov noted that the representatives of parties travel through the country during the election campaign and make concrete promises to the population concerning the salaries, pensions, economic development, etc. Thus, when they enter Parliament, the parties will have to work to deliver these promises. A coalition between the Party of Socialists and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” in the next legislature is not excluded.
As to extraparliamentary opposition parties’ assertions that they will not form a coalition with the PDM, the politician noted they are in an election campaign and they criticize the government and do not have to agree with the government. “They need to find an opponent, an enemy around which to build their electoral message. On the other hand, I would advise them to formulate not only criticism, but also something constructive,” stated the president of honor of the PDM.
As regards the fielding of candidates for the legislative elections, Dumitru Diacov said the aspirants will be made public soon. Currently, the PDM is having discussions to reach a consensus as to who will run in elections and who will form part of the executive.
