The candidate fielded by “Our Party” for the office of President of Moldova Dumitru Chubashenko officially launched his election campaign on September 30. This pledged to sign a decree to dissolve Parliament if he is elected as Head of State, IPN reports.
According to Dumitru Chubashenko, the current legislature has been illegitimate from the start, the MPs being elected as a result of frauds, the most serious of which was the removal of “Our Party”, which was to gain most of the seats of MP as polls showed, from the electoral race three days before the November 30, 2014 elections.
Another electoral promise is to adopt a new Constitution based on a national referendum.
The candidate for President said he pledges to save the state that is captured by the oligarch Plahotniuc.
“Our goal in this struggle is clear – to score victory and to free Moldova from the yoke of Plahotniuc. To achieve this goal, we suggest a legal and real instrument, namely the dissolution of Parliament and calling of early legislative elections. The current government is anti-people, criminal and illegitimate and should leave. It’s clear that such a decree will be legitimate and legal. I pledge to sign and implement it immediately after I’m elected President,” he stated.
Dumitru Chubashenko is under No. 6 on the ballot.
