Dumitru Braghis wants Chisinau to be “a city of children, not a city of wine”

Dumitru Braghis, the candidate for Chisinau mayor representing the Social Democracy Party (SDP), has given his vote for a capital city “of young people, of people who are willing to work and live here, a city of children, and not a city of the wine”. When asked by reporters to comment the quality of the election campaign, the SDP candidate said that it is not so different from the others, except for the fact that TV channels and radio stations, especially the public ones, granted fewer free airtime for electoral publicity, which of course made it harder for certain candidates to promote their electoral programmes. Braghis concluded that the present election campaign had more dark spots than bright ones. The SDP candidate has calculated his and the party’s chances said that they are pretty high in Chisinau and in the whole country as well. Braghis has also pointed out that if the elections are falsified, SDP will certainly resort to Law. Dumitru Braghis, accompanied by his wife, voted this morning at the polling station no.126 situated on Drumul Viilor Street.
