Dumitru Braghis satisfied with PDS poll results

Dumitru Braghis, the candidate representing the Social Democracy Party (PDS) for mayor of the capital, is pleased with the results that PDS obtained in the recent elections, which he considers to be a first electoral test for the party that will celebrate its first anniversary on June 14. Dumitru Braghis told Info-Prim Neo that the 4.5 % of votes earned by the party according to preliminary results were obtained in a completely undemocratic, unequal and unfair campaign, on the background of an informational deficiency and of serious constraints coming from the state bodies, the governing party, and force bodies over the PDS candidates. The candidate states that PDS has clear evidence proving that the elections were tainted by fraud even in the pre-election stage, that acts of fraud were committed in the electoral campaign and more than that, the results were falsified on election day. This evidence was presented to the international observers and the diplomatic missions accredited in Chisinau. Currently the evidence is being analysed in order for the party to come up with its position regarding the results of the poll. Besides the PDS, other parties who participated in the campaign reported that acts of fraud were committed in elections on poll day. Among these parties there is the Alliance „Moldova Noastra”, The Social Liberal Party, the Republican People’s Party, the Christian-Democrat People’s Party and the National Liberal Party.
