Dumitru Alaiba resigns from the positions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. In a Facebook post, Alaiba wrote that he will be attending his last Cabinet meeting on Thursday, IPN reports.
"It was two and a half years of enormous work for which I gave all my knowledge and energy to move things forward. Now the next step is needed. I will continue to serve the interests of the country as long as it takes and wherever I am," said Dumitru Alaiba.
He promised to further stand with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the governing team: "We laid the foundation of economic stability and, at this stage, I believe that a new impetus is needed, which will accelerate the processes started to ensure economic growth."
Dumitru Alaiba was sworn in as Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization in November 2022.
