Some 86% of the public services intended for entrepreneurs are digitized, according to Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba. The digitization process included the issuing of various authorizations and certificates, facilitating the activities of the business community, IPN reports.

"We are talking about almost 9 out of 10 requests for authorizations, certificates due to which queues were once formed at the PSA, STS, NFSA. Now these lines no longer exist because the services are digital," Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba said in the program "Good Evening" on the public television channel Moldova 1.

According to the minister, digitization reduces the time needed to obtain documents, but also contributes to significant financial savings for the business community.

"Our estimate is that, due to this debureaucratization, together with the digitization of services, our entrepreneurs save at least 3 billion lei per year," said Dumitru Alaiba.

The minister stressed that the digitization of public services is a major advantage for society as it considerably reduces the time lost at counters. Another important benefit of digitalization is the reduction of the risk of corruption. Process automation minimizes direct interaction with officials, thus eliminating the possibility of fraudulent practices.

"In the case of citizens, more than half of the services offered by the state or 54% are digital. There is room for better. In one year, we doubled the number of available services," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
