The police arrested a man they suspect of committing last week’s murder in Dumbrava. A 39-year-old woman was then found dead in her house by her partner who just returned from abroad.
The detained suspect is 36 years old, and he and the victim knew each other, the police revealed.
The suspect was arrested in the apartment he was renting in Chisinau’s Râșcani sector. He is from Șoldănești district and has a lengthy criminal record, it was also disclosed.
The police said the man confessed to the crime. If found guilty in court, he will face 15 to 20 years in prison or a life sentence.
