Drunken driver seriously injures young girl

A young girl from the capital was seriously injured, on Wednesday, by a car driven by a drunken driver. The inspector of the Road Traffic Security, Administrative Supervision and Public Relations Service of Chisinau Road Police, Ion Roscovanu, reported that the young girl aged 28 was hit on Dacia Blvd. by a Rover driven by a drunken motorist. The impact was so strong that the young girl was heaved over a parked Honda. The ambulance doctors noted that the victim suffered a serious cranial-cerebral trauma and, possibly, fracture of the cranium basin bones. At the moment, the girl is hospitalized in the therapy section of the Emergency Hospital. Another drunken driver was hospitalized with several body injures after his car, VAZ-2153, hit, at the crossing of t Stefan cel Mare Blvd. with Mihai Viteazu Street, another car VAZ, 21099. A pedestrian, also drunken, was hit on Calea Iesilor by a Nissan and was hospitalized with bones fracture, brain shock and forehead concussions. A boy aged 9 was hospitalized with injures and brain shock, as result of being hit on Ion Creanga street by a car Opel Record. Another Opel has injured, on the avenue Traian, a young girl aged 21, being hospitalized with brain shock, fracture of the left forearm, and concussion of forehead’s soft tissues. Over the last 24 hours, policemen detected 9 drunken drivers and 11 – without driving licenses.
