Drunk tractor driver injured in collision with another tractor

A tractor driver, 48, suffered various injuries in a collision with another farm tractor in Chisinau's suburban village of Bacioi Friday at 22:00. Both vehicles sustained heavy damages. The hurt driver, apparently drunk, was admitted to hospital for head injury treatment, a spokesperson for the Emergency Service said. Also in Bacioi, two hours earlier another man driving under influence lost control of his motorcycle and overturned. The 21-year-old was driven to the Emergency Hospital with head injuries and multiple bruises. A man in his early 60s was admitted to hospital in cerebral coma after being injured in a hit-and-run on Calea Iesilor Street involving a Mercedes. From the beginning of the year, 1,485 traffic accidents that claimed 170 lives were recorded in Moldova.
