Drunk man falls off balcony

A heavily intoxicated man, 27, fell two floors from a balcony of an apartment building on Vasile Coroban Street in Chisinau. Doctors at the Emergency Hospital, where the man was taken, said he was lucky to fall on mellow ground, so the received injuries – contusions of the spine and internal organs – are relatively light. Another drunken man, 38, cut his veins open in a suicide attempt and was admitted to the Emergency Hospital. Two women, 45 and 47, also tried to commit suicide, but in this case by swallowing pills, and were admitted to the Holy Trinity Hospital for detox. In 24 hours, the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 734 calls, including 67 cases of acute viral infections, 68 cases of traumas, and 6 strokes.
